Dalam rangka memperingati hari kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia yang ke 78, Pemerintah Kecamatan Krian menyelenggarakan lomba gerak jalan untuk tingkat SD, SMP dan SMA. Santri SD Antawirya ikut memeriahkan lomba gerak jalan se – kecamatan Krian pada Sabtu, 26 Agustus 2023. SD Antawirya mendelegasikan 2 regu dalam kegiatan tersebut. 1 regu putra dan 1 regu putri yang mana peserta gerak jalan merupakan santri dari kelas 4, 5 dan 6 yang telah lulus seleksi di sekolah. Rute lomba gerak jalan dimulai dari lapangan desa Terik dan berakhir di balai desa Terung Wetan.
Santri peserta lomba gerak jalan melakukan latihan PBB pada siang hari selama hampir 2 minggu. Panas terik tidak menghalangi semangat santri – santri dalam berlatih. Menang atau kalah tidak menjadi persoalan yang utama, yang paling penting santri – santri SD Antawirya telah menunjukkan usaha dan kemampuan terbaiknya dalam mengikuti lomba gerak jalan ini.
