SD Antawirya memiliki metode sendiri untuk mengembangkan potensi santri, yaitu dengan membuat karya ilmiah. Sekolah mewajibkan santri kelas 4, 5 dan 6 membuat karya ilmiah untuk dilombakan yang nantinya akan dipilih karya ilmiah terbaik dan akan dipresentasikan di hadapan komite dan jajaran managemen sekolah. Santri SD Antawirya sebagai generasi milenial penerus negeri juga mampu menjadi peneliti cilik yang berfikir kreatif, analisis, logis dan mandiri. Dengan terlaksananya kegiatan ini diharapkan nantinya santri SD Antawirya mampu mengembangkan kreativitasnya dalam berfikir, santri mampu berfikir kritis dan inovatif, santri SD Antawirya terampil dalam menyelesaikan suatu proyek penelitian dan menuliskannya dalam bentuk jurnal ilmiah dan dapat menambah pengalaman santri dalam menghasilkan karya tulis dari suatu penelitian yang dilakukan sehingga mereka mempunyai bekal dikemudian hari.
